C&W Downtime Readiness Key Points

  • Complete 724 e-learning.
  • Know where the 724 computer is located in your area.
  • Know where the CST Downtime Toolkit is located. 
  • Ensure the CST Downtime Toolkit has sufficient quantities of downtime forms for at least a 2-hour downtime. 
  • Ensure there are sufficient quantities of blank label sheets to print off patient labels. 
  • Ensure there are sufficient quantities of Downtime MRNs and Encounter Numbers if applicable to your area. Call CST Support line at 1-844-214-7444 to request additional numbers. 
  • Patient referral packages and consent forms are not available in the 724Access® Downtime Viewer. For planned downtimes, print these materials as needed. 
  • Review downtime procedures in the toolkit prior to planned downtime events. 
  • Complete the 724 data check procedure 2-3 business days before a planned downtime. 
  • Complete the 724 data check procedure on a weekly basis during normal uptime operations.
